Waiting for Ulysses
“She calls her exhibition À espera de Ulisses- Waiting for Ulysses and we can imagine how she sits on the beach weaving glass lace like Penélope once wove the burial shroud for Ulysses’ father while keeping watch for her beloved. And while she is weaving and embroidering, she is Ulysses, cunning and courageous, who is seeking his way home across the ocean; she is Penélope, the loving wife, who waits for the hero with almost inconceivable patience.”
